Do AI Companies Work?

A very interesting hot take argues that it’s hard to see a future for AI companies. Their costs are out of control, and the author makes the case that this doesn’t appear to be a problem that will go away. Any advancement in computing will simply change the goalposts for what they try to achieve using that extra power, never letting these companies reach profit.
