How Public Key Cryptography Really Works
A common point of confusion I often see is how public/private key encryption works. A great example is when asking engineers to share their public SSH key for a jump host: people often wonder how to securely transmit their public key, when by design it’s completely safe to share openly. It’s understandable—cryptography is confusing and mistakes can feel costly.
This article titled How Public Key Cryptography Really Works is one of the few explainers that does a great job. While it stays at a high level rather than diving into the deepest mechanics of the ciphers, that high-level perspective makes it very easy to understand and a great resource for anyone wanting clarity on asymmetric keys.
