Leaking YouTube Account Emails

I came across an article detailing the discovery of a vulnerability in Google’s systems that could leak the Google account and email address of any YouTube channel.

While YouTube channels are linked to Google accounts, that link is intended to remain private to protect creators from harassment and targeting. What’s especially interesting about the vulnerability is how it chained together multiple behaviors that alone seemed harmless, but combined to create an exploit that went completely undetected. It highlights the immense difficulty of securing a massive platform where any individual product can become a weak link in the chain.
